Essential Accessories to Maximize Your LED Grow Light
As the usage of the LED grow light becomes the preferred illumination source among indoor crop growers, it is important to note that there are still enhancements available to further increase their harvest. They are the LED grow light accessories that can be used to maximize the use of the sunlight substitutes:
1. Grow Light Timers
This reliable device will be able to control the intensity requirement of your vegetations. It is known that plants needs darkness in order to flower. The beams allow the plant to grow but a timely darkness signals the plant to start its reproductive process. This process includes blooming flowers and the producing fruits. Indoor tomato growers know that they have to give their healthy plants some dark times so it will start its production. Timers will further lower your electrical consumption as they can switch off the unnecessary energy consumption.
2. Overhead Track Systems
In order to ensure more and consistent harvest, use the overhead track system to maximize the area of the source of your luminosity. The lamps are attached to the system and motor moves them in the tracks. The plants will also have a uniform growth as they are evenly exposed. It will also be more convenient for you change the position of the lamp instead of transferring your crop to another location.
3. Reflective Films
Further maximizing the effective intensity from the hi-tech lamps is by using reflective films. These films have a mirror like sides and they can be positioned facing the source of the beam and reflecting its radiance to the plant. This will ensure that the essential nutrients are being produced by all the leaves of the plants. It is also an economical alternative instead of buying additional source of illumination. The Myra reflective films are the more popular choice among the horticulturist as it is very easy to deploy in the nurseries.
4. Hangers with Remotes
For those nurseries that needs constant adjustments of the LED growing light height, a lamp hanger is recommended to be used. These hangers can be equipped with a small winch that can remotely bring lower or higher the lamp. Gardeners who shrub cultivars will find this accessory very practical as the plant really grow fast when they are using the hi-tech lamps.
5. Light Intensity Meter
This electronic device is a must for serious growers. Like the professional photographers that have used the variant of this devise, serious growers need perfection too. By properly calibrating the intensity of the beam from your lamps to your crop, you will be able to adjust them accordingly. Being able to give the maximum and effective radiance intensity to the crop will result to a healthier and bigger harvest
Research scientists and indoor garden cultivars have already attested that by using <A rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.advancedledlights.com”>LED grow light</A>, a bumper and healthier harvest can be achieved. Harvests can be further increased by using the correct and effective LED grow light accessories in your indoor garden.

The High Performance of the UFO LED Grow Light
People who enjoy indoor gardening are looking for good, bright light for their plants. In addition, they want light fixtures that are light in weight, yet offer excellent light coverage. All of these great features are available in the UFO LED. Although it looks small and round, rather like an unidentified flying object, this grow light provides amazing light at a cost-effective price.
Roughly the same size as a bread plate, the UFO LED light runs on only eighty watts of electricity yet puts out more bright light than a four-hundred watt high pressure sodium or metal halide lamp. HID, or high intensity discharge, lights, on the other hand, require seventy to eighty percent more electricity to run them at the same light capacity as the UFO LED.
Not only does it use a fraction of the energy that other grow lamps use, but it also runs very cool. This is because the UFO LED comes with three fans built in, so you will not need to purchase air-cooled ducting or reflectors and will dramatically reduce your air conditioning costs as well. A cooler running UFO LED light also ensures that you will not burn your tender plant foliage, a common problem with other types of grow lights.
Your plants will flourish under these small but very powerful lights. A UFO LED provides your indoor garden with eight times the light output that you would normally receive with an HPS or MH grow light. It does this through the use of several one-watt LEDs focused toward your plants, the light spectrums of the UFO LED grow light are in color temperatures and tones that your plants can actually use for photosynthesis. The light specrtrums output by the UFO LED is suitable for all phases of plant growth
With all of this remarkable lighting capacity, it is also encouraging to learn that the UFO LED light will last for eighty thousand and more hours, or the equivalent of seven to ten years of exceptional performance. The coverage area of this light is three feet by three feet, allowing you to grow a wide array of plants in that large growing space.
The UFO LED light is lightweight and very easy to use. It does not require any extra wiring or complicated setup, but can be used in the normal light sockets found in your home or greenhouse. So for high performance for low cost, the UFO LED grow light is a perfect choice. The UFO LED light is the indoor gardener’s best friend!
After putting this LED grow light to the test, Susan Slobac found the UFO LED to stand up to its reputation as one of the premier LED grow lights on the market.
Indoor Gardening With The UFO LED Grow Light
UFO LED lighting is a fairly recent developing in indoor gardening lighting. It takes the power of tiny LED lights and combines and configures them in such a way as to produce indoor light perfectly suited for growing plants. There are many types of indoor gardening applications where the UFO LED grow light can be beneficial.
Seed Starting and the UFO LED Light
Many different types of seeds benefit from the application of appropriate light during the seed germination process. Seeds such as lettuce, mullein and evening primrose achieve germination only when light is applied. If they are outside in the garden, they rely on natural sunlight, but if indoors, it is up to the gardener to apply the light they need. The UFO LED light is suited to this purpose, because it not only offers the bright light needed for germination, but in the case of lettuce, which requires cooler soil and air temperatures for germination to occur, the LED UFO grow light produces no heat. This allows you to more easily control the air and soil temperatures so you can achieve the best germination rate for your seed. You can do this without the added expense of fans and vents, which are typically used with other types of lighting.
Seedling To Mature Plant Growth and UFO LED Lights
The UFO LED grow light is especially popular with indoor gardening enthusiasts because it produces a very bright light. When compared with other commonly used grow lights, such as high pressure sodium grow lamps, the UFO LED lighting typically puts out a more intense light than a 400 watt HPS grow bulb. It is especially important that seedlings receive very bright light as they are growing, because without it they will develop weak, spindly stems as they struggle to reach the little light that is available.
It is also important to understand the basics of color temperature and how that applies to plant growth and UFO LED lighting. Color temperature is measured in kelvins, notated as K. Lower color temperatures, in the 2200-2300K range are seen as warm colors like red and orange. These are the colors that plants need for flower and fruit production. Higher color temperatures in the 6000-6500K range are seen as cool colors such as blue, and these are suitable for vegetative growth. Therefore, you want higher color temperature for seedlings, and lower color temperature for mature plants that you are trying to get to produce flowers or fruits.
The LED UFO grow light is ideal for all phases of plant growth because it utilizes only the light spectrum required by plants. UFO LED lights also save money because they use no wasted light spectrums, such as green light. UFO LED lights use less power than other common grow lights, and UFO LED lighting creates less pollution as well. Finally, the LED UFO grow light has a long life of 80,000 or more useful hours.
From years of indoor and hydroponic gardening, Susan Slobac has developed an in-depth knowledge of ufo led lights and writes frequently on the subject.

MORE CFL Grow Light Fixture Results in Hydroponics (Bell Peppers!)
More results of my home-made DIY grow lights. If you’d like to share your construction variation or results, upload a photo at www.tinypic.com and send me the link. I’ll post it in the info box to share with everyone. I planted these Bell Peppers from seed on July 9th, 2009. I took this video on November 15th 2009. I started to get peppers at the end of September. I currently have about 15 peppers on the plants. The more I pollinate, the more peppers I get. It’s really a pepper machine! I’m using a mix of two 300 Watt, 2700k bulbs and two 200 Watt 6700k bulbs. I had 4 200 Watt 6700k bulbs at the start until flowers appeared. I had a few unused fluorescent bulbs that I added above them for a little extra kick. I’m convinced that these lights can handle anything you would want to grow since these are doing so well. Bell Peppers are going for $1.00-$1.50 USD each. This will pay for itself. I’m going to pollinate them more to see if I can max them out. I had no idea when I started them that they would get so big. They are doing twice as good as the ones I plant outside in the Summer. I’ll be experimenting with other vegetable and posting results as well as building a few new goodies.
