I would try making a “tea” and add it to the water.

Water alone will not feed your plants. You’ll need to get some nutrients. Just search online and you’ll easily find what you need. Happy gardening!

Liquid fertilizer like Schultz or MiracleGro will work. Compost tea is the organic option.
No go drink a beer and relax

first of all do not over feed if you try to use dirt food
the best way to get nutrients for free is a fish tank
get a 10 gallon tank and five or six fish when you clean the tank use the water for the hydro setup or everytime you water the hydro setup clean clean the tank.. kinda cool eh if yoou have a ebb and flow ”fill and drain” table you can put your under water water pump in the fish tank and poof its your hydro resavoir unless you got a big grow room hay raise some fish get a big tank then you can grow meat and veg fruit
