    weed free for sure!

@outdoorhydroponics Rain would adjust the PH of the nutrient solution…..hense making the roots unable to eat any of it. Especially a place with acidic rain as i have itll just cook the roots lol.

  • outdoorhydroponics:

Rain shouldn’t hurt this setup. It looks like he has a good amount of perlite in his grow medium, or maybe some other material that has excellent drainage. My own hydroponic planters thrived in record high rains in Georgia this year.

  • chalkie1978:

Very nice simple setup. But only if you live somewhere that never gets rain.

  • CakesPix:

pump squirts the nutrient water through hoses to the plants.

pump turns off/on because there is a timer plugged inbetween it and the wall socket.

    timer-hardware/home stores
    pump-fish/pond/swamp cooler/pool supply

  • CakesPix:

he said the pump kicks on every 30 minutes. so, the pump is feeding that nutrient water every half hour.

he said he keeps his reservoir full by using the float system. u can see one of those if u look in the back of ur toilet.

so, in that reservoir is the nutrient water.

the reservoir has a pump connected to it. maybe a tube connects it or else sometimes it is a “submersible” pump.

One negative thing about this is that it is so unattractive. That was one ugly ass garden in your yard. Work on that aspect and post a new video.

  • antidartan:

yep, very cool. I would like to see a more in depth look at your set up.also how often do you feed the plants

  • serafyn34:

  • mdandnefine:

That’s not soil – it’s gravel and with plants like these they’d fall over without weight.

  • mybuickskill6979:

seems like your still using soil!!! go DWC far more portable… and hella room for your roots structure… i should start aeroponics hehe!!
