MY FIRST MARIJUANA GROW (CLOSET) – WEEK 8
Looking to share progress, get tips and suggestions for my first marijuana grow. Start date: Feb. 16, 2009 Greenhouse Seeds (Feminized) Strains: – Big Bang – White Rhino (deceased) Medium: Soiless mix Have been giving the plant bottled water because the water from the sink is not drinkable and I have no clue of the pH level. Lights: 12 hours on, 12 off: – 400 watt HPS Nutrients: – Big Bud (Advanced Nutrients) Extras: – Fan – Mylar-like material on walls – Hygrometer

its called topping. it gives bigger yeild and bigger buds. makes the plant grow in width instead of height.
how was it dealing with greenhouse seeds? easy or difficult ? im in the usa….how was delivery ??
Probably so all the juiceness of those leaves will get sent to the other leaves and the new budds coming through
hey man if u pinch the tops the plant grows much bigger buds and u get a much better yield
may i ask why u cut the leaves?
iam on my 4th grow now and i have to admit its going good but my first time growing was a disaster so well done.

only spray the underside of your leavs when you are running hps, otherwise only spray the leaves at night or when theres no light going!
although you could do that, its way to late for a transplant, even though by now you have probably harvested. and having that bowl of water might be hurting your plants and not helping. you may be trying to cool them down, but you might be making your room way more humid than the plant likes
ventalation, air conditioning and air circulation. if you are growing in a small confined space like in this video your best bet is to leave the door open and the air conditioner on while the light is on and also have a fan kicking cooler air into your room, but be sure to close that door and not let any light hit your girls while they are asleep ; )
i am pretty sure he didnt because the thc levels in an imature plant is prolly somewhere between 2% or 3% when a full grown plant has a thc level of 20% to 30% (depeneding on the strain)

what you see is a 400 watt hps… but nice try
The problem is the light in your set-up. Use HPS light and you will see the plants get big buds.
Now you put a lot energy into your plant and nothing to smoke.

thanks for the comment. i did not top or lollipop because after one of the plants died i decided not to fuck with the other one too much. i am even hesitant to transplant it, but i think i will go for it. you know how it is.. first grow… not too much experience. when there is only one left you don’t want to risk fucking up.
i flowered early because of space and time constraints.

I am just curious as to why you did not top your plant or lollipop it? I enjoyed watching your grow. I was wondering why you flowered so early, but I am guessing it’s because of your space constraints?

It’s a bit involved, but the simple answer is that new growth stops or slows when they become rootbound. So what’s rootbound? Rootbound is when there is no space for new roots to occupy. Roots occupy the entire volume of space between the soil particles.
