My Cheap CFL Grow Light Fixture Results in Hydroponics (Lettuce and Beans)
This is a video showing hydroponic lettuce growing under the lights that I made in my other video “How To Build a CFL Grow Light Fixture – CHEAP!”. I’ve been making a video from seed to harvest using these lights along with a hydroponic system shown in this video. I’ll post that as soon as it’s all together after my harvest. Comments and suggestions welcome. Take Care.

hey how you doin just wondering were could i buy one of those light fixturs from?
@diablold Beans are “magical”. Yet they “make you toot”… but they “are high in fiber, low in fat. HEY! Bet you didn’t know that”
3 cheers for beans.
@diablold As ignorant of a statement this is you can use these systems to grow anything. I admit I started using tent systems to grow weed but now I use it to veg on everything over 1000 watt MH: Cucumbers, Lettuce, Tomatos, Grapes, Strawberries, Corn, even started a lemon tree. 8 weeks veg, 8 to 12 weeks outdoor flower. All of it organic because the demand for oragnic food is greater than ever. If you know how to do this correctly it can pay itself off in many ways.
man nobody wants to seee beans grow some marijuana
@MrOldnhorny haha good one
Plants on Seroids!!!
you have everything it takes to grow some marijuana, why dont you give it a try
I’ve grown lettuce and peppers with just 23 watt Cfl’s. I’ve even grown with just a 8watt 2 foot cfl.
exposing the roots to the light is the single most stupidest thing ive ever seen
@SleestaksRule give it a try
@pimpofvegas Dude man so did mine back when I was in my mid 20′s. I was a drug addict (coke, smoke, x) alcoholic and really really hated my life. I was pretty much an atheist but I decided to cry out to God and he answered. That was 8 yr ago next month. I never drank or drugged again from that moment on. Life will always be life but He definitely makes it worth living. Consider it, Im glad I did.
@brk49er kool i was off for 2 yrs and got back doing becuze my life sucks big dick
@pimpofvegas man if people can responsibly do it, unlike me, I smoked from morning til night, waked and baked. I stayed so stoned all the time I was basically useless. I have no problem with it. Maybe if they would just lessen the punishments and allow people to grow certain amounts like in Alaska (or at least in my day it was legal to grow like two plants in AK) I love growing it. Dont use anymore, born again christian, dont need it anymore. My life is full of joy divine, but I dont mind it.
Ok i know there are 3 main spectrusm for CFLs 2700K 5000K and 6400K I also know then when you want your plants to produce fruits you go from 6400K to 2700K right? so for lettuce (and other greens), onions, radishes, garlic and carrots just what lights do you use? my thinking is that your not really eating the fruits of the plants your eating the plant its self so wouldn’t you want like a 5000K or maybe 4100K for these type of plants? help me out please. oh and that about propagation? thanks.
you would, you’d just need to familiarize yourself with what you’re looking for in terms of strains and bud if your not a stoner.
No, But I bet I’d do a nice job of it.
have you ever grown pot?
—-Help!!!——
Im using a 6500k 23 watt CFL to grow a single plant at the moment is that adequate lighting? (it was the highest wattage full 6500K I could find or can I use the lower spectrum bulbs as well?)
Im growing Scarlett runners, peppers and tomato in a bubbleponic setup.
—–HELP——
Use a bunch of them. Tomatoes and peppers are demanding.
2000 lumens sq. ft. = Absolute minimum for growth.
23w CFL = 1600 lumens = 69.6 lumens/watt
what model lights are they? where can i get them?
thanks

and i thought they were only good for growing weed…….AMAZING!!!
I started them in the rockwool cubes. They sprout fast in about 4 days. I had them on 18 hours of light per day throughout the whole growth.
I’m starting an indoor grow with lettuce seeds. I can’t seem to find any info. on how much light the germination stage needs. Did u grow your lettuce from seed indoors? Any advice on lighting cycles for the seeds? Thanks!
I think it is awesome, you could grow your greens inside if it were winter, keep up the good video’s and ignore the idiots who haven’t clue.
