can hydroponic solution be used for rice growing? if yes, what is the composition?

more especially Indica and Japonica rice. Kindly refer me to any work on that regard or give me a reasons. The answers will help me in my design of an experiment Im about to start using hydroponic to grow rice and screen the varieties for certain sress.

Rice can be grown hydroponically if the the nutrient solution is highly oxygenated to simulate rainfall, and large fans are used to simulate wind, if you are planning to grow indoors.
